How to print to the Splash printer using AppleTalk

1. Put the printer description file included in this email into your System Folder/Extensions/Printer Descriptions.

2.

Open your Chooser.

3. Make sure AppleTalk is turned on.

4. Select LaserWriter 8 in the left pane.

If you are using AdobePS instead of LaserWriter 8, see below.

5. In AppleTalk Zones, select Servers and Printers.

6. In the right pane, select Splash_print.

7. Click on Setup…

8. When the options for the printer come up, change DocuColor 5750 Support to NO.

9. Click OK.

10. You should now have a Splash_print icon on your desktop.

AdobePS

If you choose to use the AdobePS driver, after you click Setup… in step 7, it will find the printer description and bring you back to the Chooser. You will have to click Setup… again and then in the window of choices, select Configure. In the Configure window, set DocuColor 5750 Support to NO.
