Connecting PCs to Macs using DAVE

This will allow you to share out your Mac to be accessed by PCs directly.

First, go to Control Panels/DAVE Sharing.

Use Share-level access control. Also remember to click this Service ON if you want to share.

Click on the Sharing button.

Click on the Add button.

In the next dialog, find what you want to share and choose the Select button.

Decide if you want to make Read, Write, or Read and Write passwords and enter them. Also, you can change the name that will appear on the folder you are sharing.

Click OK.

Make sure Configure Services is ON and your Mac can now be shared by PCs.

For IT personnel only (probably):

You can use User-level access control. Obtain security from domain "Scient". After you select what you want to share, you will be prompted to log in and then select what user group you want the rights of the share to come from. You'll figure it out.
