Remote Access to AT&T

New Release Document

Hint: You will probably want to create a new Location Manager set for this.

Known limitation: You cannot change your password using this method. But once you have a password you should never need to change it. If you have never logged into the AT&T network before, you will have to do it once using the Global Dialer so you can change your default password. Contact IT if you need help doing this.

Open TCP/IP Control Panel.

Create a new TCP/IP configuration.

Connect via: to PPP

Configure:Using PPP Server

Enter ibm.net in Implicit Search Path Starting domain name

Name server addr: 165.87.194.244 and 165.87.201.244

Close and Save.

Open Remote Access Control Panel:

For Name: internet.scn1.yourATTnumber

For Password: your AT&T password.

For Number: Enter phone number to call

List of numbers supplied separately in Excel document I will make available.

Alternately, you can go to http://www.attbusiness.net/hlpctr/accessnum.html and download the latest list on your own. It will be a text list. Open it using Excel and import it as Space-seperated text. This will give you a usable listing.

In Remote Access Control Panel, select Options. Setup as below.

Close and Save.

Use the Connect button to connect.
