50's reissue Fender Strat
The color of my Fender Strat is surf green.
About the music files: All songs below are in the MP3 audio format. You will need an application that can play MP3s to listen to them.

Many times after I was done playing around with my guitar, I would wish I could have recorded what I just played because it sounded good (to me). I would usually forget how I played the tune by the next day. This is pretty much similar to the story many of my friends tell me about the great jam they had the other night. Of course when you ask them to play it again they can never duplicate it. I wonder...

So instead of complaining I bought myself a Tascam 4-track cassette recorder so I could put these fragments down on tape. I also used either a POD Line 6 or Korg ToneWorks 411fx to add effects to the guitar. I then brought the songs into my Mac and turned them into MP3s.

My skill level is pretty low so don't expect much here. But I hope you enjoy them. I doubt this will happen, but if you use them in any fashion let me know (email here) and give me credit. Rock on!

Some pictures of friends and family.

Pictures come from my Olympus 3020z digital camera or scanned on my Hewlett-Packard ScanJet 3570CSe.

Note: As these are published using iPhoto and .Mac Homepage, I have little control over the HTML. It is all created and hosted by Apple Computer.

No pictures at this time.

My past desktops

Here are some screenshots of the desktops of some of my computers I had laying around. I start out with an early virus found on an eWorld disk by Gatekeeper Aid which I used with Disinfectant to keep my Macs virus free. On the two Japanese ones, the first is the way it was as I was configuring it for a user and the second is the screenshot she sent back after she was using it. the 11-21-00 one was a successful test of our new Cisco VPN over a modem using AT&T Global Dialer and then using DAVE to browse the company network. It surprisingly worked fine and was usable. That is a picture of Tien, our IT head in Dallas. In the next four you can see how I was using a launcher like DragThing or DropDrawers to help organize my apps and files. But it started getting messy with the Terminal, XWindows, launchers, and other stuff. Finally, the last four you can see how I went with a less cluttered look. I am now using LaunchBar as my app launcher and VirtualDesktop to give me more desktops. Anyway, you can see how my computing environment changed over time. Open in new window.

My computing area

Well, here is how my actual computing area looks sometimes. What a mess. I wish I took more pictures when it was clean. Yes, that is my beautiful 50s reissue Fender Strat in the first photo. Those last three photos were when I was getting all my computers in good running shape including a Plus, Classic II, iMac, two PB 540c, PB 170, PB Firewire 500MHz, B&W G3, Quadra 605, a few hard drives, a Que! USB CD Burner, HP 5370CSe scanner, HP LaserJet 1200, lots and lots of cables and accessories, and an HP 200MHz Win2K. I sold and traded a lot of it since these pictures. I'll put up a new inventory one sometime soon. Open in new window.

Here are my old Flash files.

I used to like toying around with Flash. You will need a current browser with the Flash plugin to view these. Plus some have sound.
